Roulette Strategy
Whenever you play roulette it is best if you do it with some kind of a strategy or at least a method. Below you
will find many different strategies that you can use when you play.
Also before we go any further, you probably know that there are loads of roulette eBooks and software programs
on the Internet that you have to pay for. All of these have been discussed in detail on the roulette system reviews page.
Before we go into roulette strategy in more detail you should remember the following points. Online Roulette uses a random number generator that no one can
predict.
Therefore you're never going to be winning on every single spin, that's impossible. If you read a web page that
is telling you otherwise, my advice is to simply close the web page and forget all about it.
Secondly, remember that roulette has a house edge and no sequence of
bets or combination of bets can overcome this. While strategies can certainly help you, remember that the odds are
built into the layout of the game.
Ok now that's out of the way, let's look at different strategies in more detail.
Martingale Roulette Strategy
Many people, maybe yourself included have tried using the Martingale
Roulette System. It's very simple to use and it's normally based on even chance bets such as red or black.
All you do with it is bet on one colour and then continually increase your bets after every loss until you get a
win. This can work great at first but if you get a losing run, it will cost you big time. There are also a few
variations such as the Reverse Martingale and the
Super Martingale.
D'Alembert Strategy
Like the Martingale, the D'Alembert is most commonly used on
red/black betting. It's a very easy and relatively save strategy to use although the potential return is also
pretty small. All you do is increase your bets by 1 after a loss and decrease them by 1 after a win.
There's also an Aggressive D'Alembert (which is a
riskier version) and a Reverse D'Alembert where you
increase your bets after a win instead of after a loss.
Labouchere Strategy
The Labouchere is based upon a line of numbers which you
determine before you start playing. This is one of the more complicated strategies and it will require a bit of
practice so that you can become accustomed to the rules.
Fibonacci Strategy
This is a sequence of numbers that I've heard wasn't initially intended for roulette, but here I am talking
about it as a roulette strategy. The Fibonacci is based upon
betting the amount of your last two bets added together over and over until you win.
It isn't as risky as the Martingale although your bets still can get out of control if lady luck isn't on your
side. You can also use a Reverse Fibonacci which attempts
to ride winning streaks.
Cover The Table
There are several ways of covering a fairly large portion of the wheel which is discussed on the cover the roulette table page. However what you tend to find with this kind of
strategy is that the more of the table you cover, the more you need to bet and the less you win on each spin.
Finally
The above methods really are the only roulette strategies that you can use. Obviously you can tweak them a bit
and apply them to various parts of the table but that's about as far as roulette strategy goes.
As we said at the top of the page, there are many roulette systems that you need to pay for on the Internet but
most of them are just rewrites of the above information. As we've already said, read the roulette system reviews page if you want to learn more about them.
Also feel free to play our free roulette game to test any of the
above strategies or ideas of your own. It's completely free of charge and you can play as long as you want, play
all day if you like.
